Ergonomic Risk Factors
Ergonomic risk factors are factors related to work activity that increase the probability of a musculoskeletal disorder (MSD). When ergonomic risk factors are present, the job / task is outside the worker’s capabilities and limitations.
An objective ergonomic risk assessment will quantify the ergonomic risk and control methods should be implemented to reduce injury risk and, in many cases, improve efficiency and product quality.
